Nicole E. Geracimos, MD, of Doylestown receives the first Education Impact Award from the Hepatitis B Foundation
Doylestown, Pa., July 11, 2025 – The Hepatitis B Foundation and Baruch S. Blumberg Institute recently presented Nicole E. Geracimos, MD, a Doylestown resident, with the organizations’ first Education Impact Award.
Dr. Geracimos was honored at a June 26 event to raise funds for the high school and college academic programs conducted at the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) in Doylestown.

A family physician and president of the medical staff at Doylestown Health, Dr. Geracimos comes to the PABC every year to speak to the high school students participating in the summer program. Those students come from numerous school districts in the region, including Centennial, Central Bucks, Council Rock, New Hope Solebury, Palisades and Pennridge.
Dr. Geracimos was nominated by Pat Romano, PhD, a senior scientist with Gylden Pharma who runs the summer program.
“When Dr. Geracimos speaks to the students, she talks about career options in the life sciences, ranging from research to clinical work,” Dr. Romano said. “The kids consistently rave about her presentation and how it’s opened their eyes to all the excellent career possibilities in front of them. Just as important is the passion that she conveys, which is extremely inspiring for the students to hear.”
The high school programs at the PABC are supported by the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. Donors include Customers Bank, First Citizens Community Bank, First Resource Bank, Fred Beans Family of Dealerships, Joan and Tim Block, Softerware, Truist, Univest Financial, Walter Tsou, Waste Management and Weis Markets.
Dr. Geracimos is a board-certified Internist and earned a B.S. in biochemistry at Bucknell University. She received her medical degree from Philadelphia’s Jefferson University Medical College and completed an Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell. There, Dr. Geracimos served as the Primary Care Assistant Chief Resident and received special recognition for her compassionate patient care. Dr. Geracimos has practiced as a primary care physician in Bucks County for over 14 years. She and her husband, Darin, a physician, are raising three daughters.
