All of Us research program

From 2020-2021, the proportion of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities represented in biomedical research has doubled, growing from 2% to 4%.

The All of Us Research Program wants to encourage this valuable trend going.

The Hepatitis B Foundation and Hep Free Hawai’i are happy to partner with the Asian Engagement and Recruitment Core (ARC) to help spread awareness about, and increase enrollment in, All of Us, which is an initiative of the National Institutes of Health, aimed at increasing diversity in scientific research to tailor medical care to particular groups and individuals using precision medicine. The project approaches health holistically, accounting for factors such as biology, lifestyle and environment. It involves collecting information such as body measurements, health data and bio samples. Everyone is welcome to join this initiative, but ARC is especially focused on the recruitment of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
