Hepatitis B Co-infections

What is Co-infection?

A person who is infected with more than one virus is said to have a co-infection. Hepatitis B co-infections occur with viruses that share similar transmission routes, such as hepatitis C and HIV. Co-infection with hepatitis D only occurs in people who are already infected wtih hepatitis B.
