EASL International Consensus Conference on Hepatitis B
The EASL International Consensus Conference on Hepatitis B, held in September 2002 in Geneva, Switzerland, brought together international experts in the field of hepatitis B and the panel was charged with weighing the scientific evidence and preparing a consensus statement addressing 8 key questions of relevance to the management of CHB.
An update to the original consensus statement was published Oct. 2008 with a revised definition of endpoints and response to therapy, a brief synopsis of the efficacy of currently approved therapies, strategies for treatment, and management of treatment failure as well as on-treatment monitoring.
