A Treatment Algorithm for the Management
of
Chronic HBV in the United States
A panel of nationally-respected U.S. hepatologists
(liver specialists) developed a comprehensive
treatment algorithm for chronic hepatitis
B that was published in Clinical Gastroenterology
and Hepatology, February 2004 and updated in July, 2006. These guidelines
also support the AASLD 2004 updated HBV guidelines.
This algorithm aims to assist treating physicians
in answering the practical questions of HBV management
based on available evidence; however, where data
are lacking, the panel relied on clinical experience
and consensus expert opinion.

Treatment Algorithm for chronic HBV.
