Dr. Brian McMahon

Dr. McMahon is Research and Medical Director of the Liver Disease and Hepatitis Program at Alaska Native Medical Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and primarily conducts research on hepatitis A, B and C and other liver diseases in Alaskan Natives.

Dr. McMahon earned his medical degree from the University of Washington, Seattle Medical School; completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles; his Residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals; and Post Residency Training at both University of London and University of Washington.

In between and after his medical residency he worked overseas in Puerto Rico, Central India and Tonga. Since 1978 he has been at ANMC and worked in both Internal Medicine and Hepatology.
